Welcome Friends, to the 2014 National Block and Bridle Convention, held April 10-12, proudly hosted by the University of Missouri, in the heartland metropolises of Springfield, Missouri!

Block and Bridle has proudly promoted Animal Agriculture for the last 94 years, encouraging interests in Animal Husbandry, scholastic standards, educating through hands-on program activities, enhancing professionalism and cultivating outstanding college men and women to lead the future Animal Agriculture Industry.

Join us, as we tour agriculture across the Missouri Ozarks, visiting operations addressing aspects concerning all livestock; farming/ranch style production, meat processing, sales marketing, genetic enhancing.

Warm Springs Ranch is a state-of-the-art Budweiser Clydesdale breeding farm on 300 plus acres of lush, rolling hills in the heart of Missouri near Boonville.

Our guest keynote speaker, Mike Thoren, representing JBS Five Rivers Cattle Feeding LLC (Five Rivers). Mike serves as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Five Rivers since the Company’s inception.  JBS is a wholly owned subsidiary and is the industry’s largest cattle feeder in the world.  They are actively dedicated to improving and providing sound solutions for the opportunities and challenges of the beef industry, Five Rivers values its role as an industry leader.

The Convention and Industry tours create a unique atmosphere, bringing together around 500 animal science students and professors spanning across the nation. This event provides opportunities to build networking ties with peers and industry professionals passionate about the future of animal production and to become more knowledgeable on the topics facing the livestock industry today. Of course, while having a little fun!
