Venue
All sessions and events will be held on the University of Missouri campus. The opening reception and screening on March 4 will be at the Rhynsburger Theatre at the Fine Arts Building; 505 Hitt St., Columbia, MO. Sessions on March 5 and 6 will be at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI); 401 S 9th St, Columbia, MO.

Parking
For the reception on Wednesday, parking is free in University Avenue Garage after 6:00 pm so you will not need a parking permit during this timeframe. Parking in Hitt Street Garage is available for free after 6:00 pm on levels 1-3 only.

For the conference on Thursday and Friday, the nearest garage is the Hitt Street Garage. If you wish to park on campus (which borders downtown Columbia and the other T/F sites), a parking permit is suggested for Thursday and Friday. Temporary parking permits are $4 per day.

The University of Missouri has implemented a new online parking system and visitors will no longer receive physical parking permits. Instead, license plates will be scanned and tickets will be issued to vehicles that are not in the Parking and Transportation system portal. To order a temporary parking permit, you will need to register your vehicle by clicking one of the links below. You will need: the license plate number, make, style, and color of the vehicle you will be bringing on campus and a credit card for payment. If the vehicle that you will be bringing on campus changes, you will need to provide the MU Conference Office with the registration information for the new vehicle. This can be sent to muconf5@missouri.edu.

Organize your lodging early as many visitors will be attending the True/False Festival and accommodations will be harder to come by. 

Travel to Columbia

With connections through Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Orlando offered byAmerican Airlines, flying into Columbia Regional Airport (COU) is more affordable and convenient than ever. The airport is just 10 miles south of town, with inexpensive taxi service available to all festival hotels; many hotels also offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport. We’re proud of our hometown airport and recommend it as the best way to fly to the conference and True/False.

For those who'd rather fly non-stop, Columbia is slap dab between two major airports: Kansas City International (MCI) or St. Louis International (STL) airport. The Mo-X Shuttle serves both airports, providing ground transportation from the airport to Columbia (approx. 2 hour drive). Schedule and rate information for MO-X can be found on their website.

Another way to make your way straight into the heart of the Columbia is riding the Megabus. This is an inexpensive and easy way to get to Columbia, especially for those of you coming from Chicago. The earlier you book, the cheaper the ticket.
