So, why should you come to the 9th IPMB Congress? Because as we all know, the most important challenges facing humanity are to improve world agriculture and education, and to improve human health. These challenges are critical for feeding a world population estimated to be approximately 9 billion people by 2040. In order to increase and maintain world food production, for improved diet and human health, plant scientists need to understand the mechanisms that control plant growth, how to manipulate these mechanisms for plant improvement, and to teach the world about these mechanisms.
