Discover GOLD in California in 2014!
In 1848, gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill near Sacramento! In 2014, we invite you to pan, mine, or just dig in to find a GOLD MINE of information and resources at the joint meeting of the National eXtension Conference (NeXConf) and the National Extension Directors and Administrators (NEDA) in Sacramento, Calif., March 24-27.
For the first time in history these two meetings are joined together to bring outstanding professional development, networking and interaction to Cooperative Extension at all levels.
The National eXtension Conference (NeXConf) continues the tradition of bringing outstanding engagement, networking, and cutting edge professional development to the Cooperative Extension System. These national conferences provide both face-to-face and virtual professional development on topics of importance to CES workers on working differently, technology use and adaptation, and content development for new audiences and new technologies.
The National Extension Directors and Administrators (NEDA) and Cooperative Extension Section business meeting is the annual, premiere opportunity for Cooperative Extension directors and administrators to meet together. Registration is limited to directors and administrators and associate directors/administrators or their designee, and other invited guests. The 2014 NEDA meeting will provide opportunity for directors and administrators to participate in joint sessions of the National eXtension Conference (NeXConf).
The history of Sacramento is filled with explorers and we invite you to explore technology, learning, professional development, networking, and much, much more along the banks of the Sacramento River. Come to California and meet your colleagues from across the country in a setting that drew millions after the discovery of gold. Sacramento’s rich history as the capital of California and its modern day richness as a technology, military, and governmental hub for America’s most populous state makes it a perfect location to gather Cooperative Extension’s leaders, innovators, and knowledge makers.
