Nancy MorejonCuban poet and author/scholar Nancy MorejónPresident of the Cuban Academy of Language, will be writer in residence on our campus and will deliver a lecture at the conference.  Few people can match Morejón in her insider knowledge of the contemporary intellectual life and art scene in Cuba. She has written extensively on Cuban art. In her writings, she has touched on her country’s national mythology and the position of blacks, particularly black women, in post-revolutionary Cuba, as well as the history of institutional slavery and its related exploitation.
