Hazardous Waste Management Winter Institute

January 9 – 11, 2017 • Columbia, Missouri

The Hazardous Waste Management Summer and Winter Institutes have both been revamped to combine the former Session I and Session II course materials into a single comprehensive discussion of generator hazardous waste management issues. Both courses include training, testing, and certification for compliance with DOT specifically for hazardous waste.

The topics covered during the four days of the Summer Institute include regulatory overviews, identification of hazardous wastes, management strategies, hazardous material classification, and shipment preparations; and includes a discussion of OSHA considerations applicable to generator hazardous waste management. The topics covered during the three days of the Winter Institute include regulatory overviews, identification of hazardous wastes, management strategies, hazardous material classification, and shipment preparations; but does not include a discussion of OSHA considerations.

Both courses feature an extensive printed notebook and a course DVD containing electronic copies of the course materials, guidebooks, and regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and hazardous waste management.

The University provides all attendees with a certificate of attendance and a certificate of continuing education units.
