Location/Hotel
The conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Illinois. Visit http://www.cpspringfield.com to see hotel and area features and amenities. In the Land of Lincoln, you can easily get lost in the area’s history, culture and quirks. The hotel is centrally located near many attractions. If you’re an American history buff, the Lincoln Home National Historic Site and Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum are tops spots to learn more about the 16th president. If you’d rather go shopping, head to the White Oaks Mall, which is the largest in Springfield, IL.

Two room blocks are being held for Symposium participants:
The first block of rooms is held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  Participants will receive the special Symposium room rate of $110 + current tax rate for single/double occupancy per night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  The block of rooms will be held until March 25, 2012 and after this date rooms will be open to the public and available on first come basis.  Be sure to note you are with the Midwest Symposium to secure the group rate and also indicate of you have any specific accessibility needs.  Contact the hotel directly at (217) 529-7777 or 1-877-270-1393. 

A second block of rooms is held at the Holiday Inn Express Springfield which is very close to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  This special Symposium room rate is $95 + current tax rate for single/double occupancy per night at the Holiday Inn Express.  The block of rooms will be held until March 25, 2012 and after this date rooms will be open to the public and available on first come basis.  Be sure to note you are with the Midwest Symposium to secure the group rate and also indicate of you have any specific accessibility needs.  Contact the hotel directly at (217) 529-7771 or (877) 863-4780.
