The Conference Office is bidding farewell to Irma Mahamad this month. Since 1997 Irma has been a familiar face in our office. She has worn many hats from student intern/ student employee to Graduate Assistant and most recently Conference Assistant. From handling incoming registrations to meeting with program chairs to plan location and food arrangements, her knowledge covers all aspects of the conference planning process. Her expertise and infectious smile will be missed.
Irma has worked directly with many of our groups such as Missouri Association of Publications, Pesticide Certification and Recertification, National Cheer Association/ National Dance Association, GICL Summer Institute and Lifespan Learning. As an international student, Irma earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees here at MU and Columbia has become a second home. Future plans include moving back to Malaysia to be closer to her family. We have all enjoyed seeing the United States through her eyes. Best Wishes for the Future, Irma!
