Registration
The registration fee of $200 includes conference materials, Continental Breakfast on Thursday and Friday, Thursday lunch, Thursday evening reception and refreshment breaks.
An optional pre-conference tour is being offered for $20.
This Urban Extension Tour will visit Old North - St. Louis County, highlights a community food project in Old North St. Louis where MU Extension is one of several groups that have worked to open a grocery cooperative in a neighborhood that is considered a food desert. The opening of a community-run grocery store was only one part of a comprehensive strategy developed to close the food gap in Old North St. Louis and surrounding neighborhoods. A five-part strategy was developed together in order to “green” this food desert by: (1) expanding the relatively new North City Farmer’s Market; (2) cultivating the 13th Street Community Garden; (3) establishing a CSA (Community Sup-ported Agriculture) program; (4) opening a grocery co-op; and (5) providing educational opportunities for community residents.
Registration
Conference registration will be available between 12:30pm - 1:30pm, on the second floor of the hotel outside of the general session. The program begins at 1:30 pm with opening remarks.
Cancellations/Refunds
If you must cancel your registration, please do so in writing by August 30, 2011. You may send an email to muconf7@missouri.edu. Before this date, your full registration may be refunded less a $50 processing fee. After this date, no refunds will be allowed but substitutions will be permitted. You will be responsible for contacting the Sheraton Clayton Hotel St. Louis to cancel room reservations and are subject to their cancellation policies.
