Who should apply

This workshop is aimed at journalists who cover energy, business, health and the environment. Staff and freelance journalists are welcome to apply.

The workshop is capped at 15 journalists due to reactor tour size restrictions. An additional five seats are reserved for Missouri School of Journalism students.

Schedule

The workshop begins with an optional opening dinner the night of Wednesday, Jan. 27. The full workshop will begin Thursday, Jan. 28 at 9 a.m. and end Friday, Jan. 29 by 5 p.m. Participants are asked to attend all events on Thursday and Friday.

We’ve designed the schedule to be convenient for attendees who live within commuting distance. For out-of-town attendees, we will provide up to three nights of lodging at the historic Tiger Hotel in downtown Columbia, Missouri.

Several panels and the film screening are open to the public.

For professional journalists: Registration for professional journalists is $35 and includes up to three nights of lodging, if needed, tours, and meals during the workshop.

For student journalists: Student registration is $15 and includes select meals and tours but no lodging.
