Traffic and Safety Poster Session

Again this year the conference committee will offer researchers in Traffic and
Highway Safety an opportunity to display the results of their research through
Posters that will be displayed in the area adjacent to Exhibit Booths. This will
provide Conference attendees an opportunity to interface with the researchers as
they will have their breaks and meals in the same area as the Exhibit Booths and
Research Posters.

We are inviting researchers to submit a 250 word narrative describing the
research undertaken and a picture or sketch of the proposed poster. Research
published prior to 2010 will not be accepted. The goals in designing a poster
should be to provide a clear overview of the work, present enough material to
explain the research, and stimulate discussion and questions. The Poster must fit
within the 4’x 4’ space provided. No “PowerPoint” posters will be accepted. No
promotional or advertising material is to be on the poster.

Researchers from universities, consultants, State DOTs, local agencies and private
firms are invited to participate. Poster authors should plan on being present with
their Poster during the conference breaks/exhibit times.

Members of the Central Missouri Institute of Transportation Engineers will review
the proposal narratives and judge the Posters. A $100 prize will be awarded
during the closing session of the Conference for the best Poster.
