The Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS) has held an annual conference for 28 of its 31 years in operation. The conference is typically held in the fall of each year and has been held in a variety of locations across the country. Members vote on the conference location nearly every year and a local VCS member agrees to chair the event and handles the programming of the Conference.

Those attending the meeting represent DVM's both in academia and private practice, technicians, as well as interns and residents, students, and faculty from a wide mix of Universities and Colleges. Attendance from professionals around the world continues to increase as nearly 16 countries were represented at the 2008 conference in Seattle, WA.

Over the years, the number of exhibitors and sponsors has also increased dramatically as the attendance at the conference has increased. Several years ago, just a small handful of sponsors and exhibitors took part in the conference. In 2008, thirty exhibitors and sponsors participated in some way which led to the overall success of the conference. The 2008 conference witnessed its largest attendance on record at over 530 people plus exhibitors, sponsors and vendors, an increase of nearly 50 from the 2007 conference held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Because of the overwhelming interest in this growing conference, and due to a much stronger desire by companies and associations for sponsorship opportunities at the VCS Annual meeting, we have developed this official sponsorship plan. Companies and organizations now have an opportunity to choose from a wide array of events and conference-related items. Those who sponsor in 2009 will have the first right of refusal for that same item or event in 2010. As a thank you for their continued level of partnership over the years, previous Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsors will have the opportunity to choose which items or events that they would like to sponsor before the plan is introduced to lower level and new sponsors.
