Debby MoneyDebby Money is an award winning teacher who has been a Missouri educator for the past twenty years. She started her teaching career in Willard, Missouri teaching the primary grades. Then, she became a trainer for the Missouri Reading Initiative and traveled around the state delivering K-6 balanced literacy professional development. When Debby returned to the classroom, she switched gears again and taught the intermediate grades in Nixa, Missouri. She continues to work for Nixa Public Schools as a TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment). Debby continues to work with K-6 teachers on curriculum, instruction, and professional development.

Dr. Laurie KingsleyDr. Laurie Kingsley is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Literacy in the College of Education at the University of Missouri. She works with dozens of literacy coaches and teachers from across the state, and has spent a decade working as a consultant in Missouri school districts and classrooms to help teachers implement successful writing workshops.
Laurie will present session #24, “Motivating Writers with Memoir.”
Barri BumgarnerAfter years in a junior high classroom, Barri Bumgarner has released numerous articles, short stories, and three novels. Her newest story, “Preconceptions,” has been released in the teacher anthology My First Year in the Classroom. Her young adult novel, Dregs, tackles tough issues that lead to school violence, and won the Walter Williams Major Work Award, runner-up, 2008. Her other two novels are both award-nominated thrillers: psychological/suspense thriller Slipping, and debut sci-fi thriller 8 Days. Barri teaches at the University of Missouri, while completing her PhD. Her current projects include writing a prequel to 8 Days, a sequel to both Slipping and Dregs, as well as a true-crime book, Shades of Gray: The Steven Rios Story. Becky McCrawBecky McCraw has been an educator for twenty years. She taught elementary school for twelve years before becoming a literacy coach, and she currently coaches in a rural elementary school in South Carolina. She is the outgoing Elementary Representative-at-Large for the Executive Committee of NCTE and is a doctoral candidate at the University of South Carolina in the area of Language and Literacy.
